I thought this was interesting!

  1. I hate to be a wet blanket, but I found this article at Snopes.com very interesting. www.snopes.com/holidays/christmas/music/12days.asp

There is certainly nothing wrong with choosing to teach your children that the items in the 12 Days of Christmas represent theological things, but just know that it is NOT a historical practice.

All that said, I do appreciate you posting these, Anna! Overall they are cool. :-)

  2. Will K-love do any reasearch before posting? That being said, I always take everything snopes says with a grain of salt... they obviously have an atheistic agaenda.

  3. I agree. I've noticed that about snopes as well.

  4. I am similarly as frustrated, Scoot. It's one thing to find amazing historical things that show the love of God in people's lives or the love of the people for their Creator, but this "let's make everything seem like it has Christian roots" thing is ridiculous. Especially because I don't like being lied to, or telling people false information. Of course, I always look this stuff up, but I get at least one email a week from my dad where the info is skewed just enough to be cringe-worthy, but not enought to be an outright lie.
